Women’s Day | March 15, 2026
This Sunday, we celebrate the women God has used, sustained, and continues to raise up. Women’s Day at First Baptist is always a special occasion — and this year is no different.
Our Women’s Day Mass Choir opens the service with “Look Where He Brought Me From,” a song that says everything before a single word is preached. Deacon Rosalind Pettiford leads us into worship through the Call to Worship and Invocation, grounding us in the truth that we don’t come in our own strength — we come rooted in His.
Sabrina Parker leads a powerful Litany honoring the women who paved the way — from Esther and Deborah, to Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth, to the mothers and grandmothers whose quiet sacrifices shaped who we are today. Melanie Lewis lifts the Congregational Prayer, and our choir responds with “It Is Well.”
Rev. Beaulah E. Smith leads a Baby Blessing, and Sis. Alecia Mason shares Life at First Baptist before Rev. Moore brings the Pastoral Emphasis.
The message this Sunday is brought by Min. D’aja McIntyre of Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield, NJ, preaching from Colossians 2:6-7. We are rooted. We are built up. We are established in faith — and this service is a celebration of exactly that.
Tune in, worship with us, and share this with every woman in your life who needs to be reminded of who she is in Christ. 🙏🏾
